time zones

I was reading up on the latest entries in my RSS reader when up popped something from Melody on her cooking blog. It's not the first time I've been online of an evening and she's posted something or left a comment around the same time... A quick check showed me that it's just coming up on 3 in the afternoon in her part of the world; I wonder if someone's taking a nap and letting her mother get 10 minutes on the computer?

In any case, I'm still enough of a techno-peasant to get a thrill from live sports from the other side of the world, and there's something equally fascinating about people blogging -- or doing anything else in parallel, I suppose -- at opposite ends of the day and yet at the same time.
