Dramatic Irony

I'm always wary of misusing the word "irony," but I think this qualifies as dramatic irony in a literary sense:

This evening, DC Police Chief Charles Ramsay was participating in an anti-violence march in Northeast DC. Concurrently, a 16 year old was shot in Southeast DC.

Well done, Chief, that made all the difference.
