Work Stops Blogging

Things have been a bit quiet on the site the last several days, partly due to a busy weekend and partly because after weeks of waiting, my new project at work got underway. Seems like it will be good even though my life of leisure will be interrupted. Into every life a little rain must fall, etc.

I am girding my loins for tomorrow’s thanksgiving fiestas—oh yes, more than one. R’s grandparents first (typically 20+ people) in the early afternoon, and then on to her Aunt G’s house in the late afternoon for round 2.

Last year R and I exerted some discipline and did not stuff our faces at both locations; we were actually a little hungry by the end of the night.

L talked about Aunt G’s house for weeks afterwards since it was full of cookies and other rationed pleasures at eye height for minimally supervised toddlers. So she’s looking forward to events.

For those travelling the US, safe travels; for the rest of the world, never fear, even our fearless leaders will be so narcoleptic from tryptophan spikes that mischief should be kept to a bare minimum.
