Geek evening

I am spending my evening doing tech support for myself. The old laptop I use at home for music and pictures is getting seriously squirelly. I was trying to uninstall one virus software and replace it with another, and all manner of problems were ensuing…

So know I am on a full fledged tear, updating patches, service packs, uninstallers, and the like. Backing up files, that sort of thing.

I’d like to avoid this kind of crap with some kind of Mac computer but my poxy old yuppie car has seen to that.

Still, it beats doing housework!

Update: 2 hours after initial post, I am only just getting to the initial virus scan. And, this has been a trouble-free installation. Yikes. Bring on a Mac.
