The mid-week update on dead animals on the roads: sharp decrease in dead raccoons, deer holding steady. Two more patches of fur and hoof on the Dulles Toll Road, one whole doe roadside nearby.

Oddly, this morning, two people managed to go off-road on highway off-ramps even though the rain that was pouring down overnight had stopped. Someone actually flipped their SUV on the River Rd exit off the Beltway, and, getting style points, another person managed to get their Toyota Corolla backwards and 15 feet up an embankment on the ramp from the G Washington Parkway to the Beltway... Something of which to remind myself next time I am thinking about playing rally driver round corners in the wet...
